United2Prevent
Dr. Charlene Blache, Board Chair
United2Prevent is a local non-profit partnership of community members who have joined resources and efforts to:
– prevent suicide
– bring awareness to suicide, and
– destigmatize mental illness.
The task force hopes to reach the community through various types of outreach projects providing accurate and substantial information on the suicide epidemic that is growing in the community, state and nation.
Our Community
We support the following programs in our local community.
Boys & Girls Clubs
We partner with and support Boys & Girls Club of Valdosta and Boys & Girls Club of Brooks County to provide a safe place for young people to learn and grow.
Reach Out & Read
This organization integrates reading into pediatric practices, advises families about the importance of reading with their children, and shares books that serve as a catalyst for healthy childhood development.
